Marcel and Aline have between them 35 years of hospitality experience, from being a dishwasher, cook, waiting tables all the way to managing cafes. One day they were looking for chilli sauce to go with dinner one night, and stumbled across nasi lemak chilli sambal in the jar. They adored with its deep, rich flavour and unique spicy kick it gave to food dishes. From then on they always keep a jar in their pantry.
This serendipitous moment and their passion was leading them to their ultimate goal – Owning a Malaysian restaurant.
One year searching for their perfect business, they found it in 2008. Nasi Lemak House – a quaint, a diamond in the rough, with limitless potential.
7 years on which included with a name change to NL House, another restaurant venture built up and sold off in 2014. 2 renovations, the latest one completed one year ago. A pilgrimage to Malaysia, to taste and bring back some fantastic dishes they sampled over there. New menu items tested and tried. Introducing online ordering and an ultra quick home delivery service.
They have perfected it.
They are ready to serve you the best authentic hawker foods, in a fast and friendly casual setting. Ordering and home delivery from the comfort of your own home, gives standard take out a run for its money. They were the regional winners in the 2015 Menulog Takeaway Awards. With one taste you would think you're sitting at one of the famous hawker stalls you loved back home in Malaysia.

NL House is well known for its sambal, an outrageously tasty chilli sauce creation from Malaysia. With a total of 4 different types of chillies, and numerous proprietary herbs and spices. Sambal is their main stand-out ingredient in the flagship Nasi Lemak. Roughly around a 1000 of their nasi lemak's gets consumed weekly. All the sambal, curry pastes, master cooking sauces all made in house and from scratch. All ingredients sourced daily and where taste and flavour are never compromised.
